RAMRODS is a brand of specialist percussion ‘rods’ that are 100% handmade in England.

 

The brand is wholly owned by Percussion Technology Ltd.

The RAMRODS concept was developed by Richard Horton, a keen drummer, who, following his retirement from the fire and rescue service, decided to make some rods for himself that better suited what he wanted compared to those he could buy in stores.

 

Richard quickly started to experiment with various sizes, weights and core materials and very quickly developed a range of rods that his drummer friends started to buy from him.

In 2022 Richard formed Percussion Technology with his partners Keith Keough, Al Murray and Craig Buckley, the range was rebranded and RAMRODS was born.

The RAMRODS range consists of fourteen different rods, all of which have their own distinct look, sound and feel.

Manufactured from the highest quality birch and bamboo dowel and with unique option features such as nylon and foam cores, RAMRODS offer the discerning percussionist a vast sound pallet that bring new and very different sonic options to your performance.
